University of the West of Scotland

Founded in 1897 to offer vocational courses, Paisley began offering degree studies in the early 1900s and matured to University status in 1992. Currently some 1.300 staff guiding more than 10.000 students in over 100 degree courses. The University is represented by the School of Computing. The Paisley team have been active in the project area for many years and run the European Conference in Games-Based Learning (ECGBL)

Kindersite Project Ltd

The Kindersite team are involved in 14 European projects were they bring their expertise in:

  • Internet and digital communications
  • Dissemination with a specialty in using the Internet
  • Internet technology/websites
  • Valorization in commercializing the final products
  • Strategy and project appraisal

to the projects.

Currently the Kindersite holds a database of over 240,000 schools, institutions and authorities in Europe. The Kindersite has provided a Keynote speaker on communications and dissemination at EU conferences.

Centro Navarro De Autoaprendizaje De Idiomas 

CNAI is a specialist centre backed by of the Government of Navarra, Spain, which carries out flexible blended learning programs aimed at improving and enhancing existing educational systems and Life-long learning.

CNAI's flexible approach allows multiple levels in education to be accommodated and includes local civil servants learning European languages. All our courses are designed to build autonomy in students and within this area we have become acknowledged experts in cutting.

Ahead of the Game

Ahead of the Game has an expertise in developing Alternate Reality Games (ARGs) and is bringing this innovative genre into Europe. An ARG is a new kind of interactive story that immerses its participants through websites, emails, video and audio clips, sms, and even printed material and events. ARGs have proved to be extremely powerful tool for marketing and education. We work with an international team of strategists, conceptual developers, producers, designers, film directors, writers and IT developers. Recently, we won “Best Gaming Concept” at the Spinwards, beating multimillion-euro productions such as ‘Nokia 20 lives’.

“St Kliment Ohridski” Sofia University

The Sofia University Department of Information and In-service Training of Teachers (DIITT) has more than 50 years of experience in research into different areas of education, design and delivery of all sorts of high quality innovative in-service training courses for teachers. It is specialised in syllabus design and delivery of in-service courses for teachers of all subjects from all types of pre-primary, primary and secondary schools in the country.

It provides continuing training in modular, face-to-face or distance format and a highly interactive and creativity-provoking mode of delivery through programmes for updating and upgrading teachers’ professional competences and skills in all subjects taught at Bulgarian schools. It trains 12 000 teachers annually. Apart from providing opportunities to attend up-grading courses and seminars to teachers, the Department encourages teachers’ creativity and innovation through its two specialised magazines.

University of Rousse “Angel Kanchev”

The University of Rousse is a full university, training students in all areas of the sciences and humanities. The Faculty of Sciences and Education, as well as the University Centre for Continuing Education teach, train and retrain primary and secondary school teachers at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels.

The University of Rousse has top expertise in developing web-based teaching modules especially in the field of foreign language teaching. The Department of Foreign Languages trains primary and secondary school teachers with foreign languages for the northeast region of the country. Members of the Department are teacher trainers with extensive expertise in the field and have also participated in numerous international projects producing a range of ICT-based teaching tools.
